A Recent Trip To Lunga House
The Ritz Trio recently returned from performing at a Lunga House wedding.
Following a long but very scenic drive, which offered views of the sea stretching from the Corryvreckan to Loch Melford, we arrived at this hidden gem. Our first step was to grab a bite to eat at The Pub ‘The Lord of the Isles. We sat out on the patio overlooking the Marina and soon got chatting to some visiting sailors.
Heading up the road to Lunga House we were met by some very friendly and helpful staff from the House who soon made us feel at home and part of the team.
Lunga House is a fine old Scottish Country House, originally a 16th century Tower House which is surrounded by sheltered gardens. The grounds provide a great acoustic for the music when playing outside. For drinks receptions we have also played in the dinning room.
For this most recent wedding we performed for the evening reception in the Ballroom. This multi national wedding party where great fun and danced the night away. As the music was required for dancing, the client added the option of a vocalist and keyboard player to join the band.
It was a fabulous evening and we look forward to returning to Lunga again at some point.
A Great Review
Clare and I just came back from our honeymoon. We were in Capri, Italy. It was wonderful, just like our wedding! Clare and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you, the whole band.
We loved the music and will definitely recommend you all to our friends for their wedding.

Ritz Trio Music Options
Wedding Ceremony
The Ritz Trio are able to provide music for wedding ceremonies if required and have a specially selected repertoire which sometimes uses the services of a classical violinist able to play some of the more frequently requested pieces. They are able to play most of the often requested ceremony pieces such as Pachelbel Canon in D Highland Cathedral and A Thousand Years (Christina Perri).
Once the ceremony is over the Trio can quickly and with no fuss move through to “jazz up” the drinks reception celebration!
Drinks Reception
Following on from the ceremony the Ritz Trio can play through the champagne reception within the grounds or one of the public rooms.
The Ritz Trio play music ranging from Rat Pack and swing to some fun arrangements of more popular tunes such as “Sway”, ” “My Guy” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” to name a few. The Trio are always happy to take requests!
